I think what you say is true, and it is certainly also my perception. They are probably sick of the emails/phone calls but they get paid well enough. Poor form.
...but it probably doesn't matter in the scheme of things whether they want "us" or "you" or any other small shareholders anyway, $ man. I think the bottom line is that the share price can't reward the Big Three w/o rewarding the rest of us along the way anyhow.
So - not a pleasant situation you had to endure, and certainly unfair, but console yourself with the belief that the cash will be flowing through to all shareholders very shortly.
