ASX S&P recalibrate their index inclusion exclusions list every quarter.
Stocks that meet liquidity and market cap requirements are then included naturally as part of this recalibration process.
Once included in an Index, index tracking funds with their agreed investment mandate will need to align their portfolio composition to mimic the actual index they are tracking.
