As long as there is no proper regulation and policing of what is labelled 'organic' I wouldn't be paying the extra.
AFAIK anyone can whack an "organic" label on their produce, jack up the price by 50% and lo, the disciples will flock to buy it.
Of course if you can grow your own fruit and vegetables then so much the better. However, here in SE Qld, I've given up on this because it's pretty much impossible with all the pests and diseases, humidity causing fungal infections etc.
