87 was so different to now in so many ways. How big & diverse was the ASX then and how much global exposure? I think the GFC would be a more relevant comparison. I'm going to look at where Westpac gets down to this time. It's nowhere near its low back then at the moment (somehow that doesn't sound correct). When it starts climbing and sustains it I'll look for bargains.
