So, since my post yesterday - we now know that President Trump's main resistance to signing off on an agreed deal with both Republicans and Democrats in reopening government is ---------- 'it would make him look stupid'
Well, aside from it probably not making a bean of difference in that department -------- saving face is a very important issue that it brings up -- to do with not only Trump - but, all politicians -- across the Atlantic as well.
Especially in Asia, where face is a big deal.
So - in regard to the OP --- Trump might learn something from Macron --
if you fear your pride being trodden on - for the good of your Nation - swallow it and get on with the business - because the business of your nation - be it France or the USA is really far far far bigger than you.
Macron gets it ------------- Trump???????? Usual apparently.
