now, here's something which you appear to be failing to grasp -------------- that future is not far away -

it is indeed, knocking at the door right now

right now - we have lots of paid work ---------- but, AI is encroaching already - so too are robotics

within a decade - things look like being vastly different ----------- 10 years.

By the time we get out to 20 years -------------------- well - things will probably be so different that we can't even imagine

now --------- 20 years. 20 years is NOTHING. If we need a totally new economic system ----

when do you suggest we begin?

or do you think that we can all just sit down and design a totally different economic system to suit a change of conditions - that is greater than all of the changes of ages since the first hominoid made the second stone axe and became a trader?

now again ------------ 20 years. If you want some kind of idea what it takes to make big things happen - have a look at how long it took to get the EU going ------ and that ------------ was just one continent.

Yet with all the machinery and computers Australia is short of workers
You keep harping on about that point, over and over
Where will the workers come from to construct houses or fix your electrical wiring after a natural disaster?
Elon Musk might revolutionise future robots to assist humans
Way in the distant future if man does survive
I am sure logic will prevail and humans will be far more important than machines
If not
Well humanity is doomed
Robots will rule the planet
Look for a good science fiction novel
I am sure some authors have written about the future already
