What is it with local government councillors, who think their remit is to set international foreign policy, nuclear and energy policy, and attend international AGW conferences on any pretext???????
When I drive through Ashfield (inner Sydney suburb) my car runs more smoothly because the council is nuclear free.
As a result of a widespread community campaigns in the 1980s and early 1990s, Marrickville, Leichhardt and Ashfield Councils all resolved to oppose uranium mining and nuclear energy.
