Your recollection is accurate Captain, there was indeed an IP swap back in 2016.
The deal involved partially trading off rights to the Mucin project to secure additional IP rights to MPL.
Importantly Pharmaust retained rights to royalties if the UNSW were able to commercialise it.

It seems highly likely that BromAc is a derivative of the Mucin project, and is therefore covered by the royalty agreement.
This would have to be confirmed with the company before we assume PAA has yet another string to its bow.
