Yes, the connection with PAA is through Prof David Morris and his company Pitney Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of PAA.

Acquiring Pitney (in 2015 ?) put 3 ( possibly more ) of Prof Morris's drug discoveries, developed in conjunction with the University of NSW, into PAA's proprietary technology pipeline.

    These being :

1- PPL-1 ( Monepantel) for the treatment of cancer,

2- Abendazole for the treatment of ascites, and

3 - Mucin to clear substances associated with tumours in, for example, peritoneal cancer. This drug being made with an enzyme found in pineapples.

The Mucin project was transferred back to UNSW in 2016 although PAA retained a right to royalties if the university was able to commercialise it. This appears to be the drug BromAc currently being repurposed by Prof Morris and the UNSW as a nasal spray to treat Covid 19.

Prof Morris was formerly a director of, and a major shareholder in PAA. What the relationship is now is unclear. However,if BromAc is indeed the former Mucin project under a new guise, and Prof Morris is able to commercialise it, PAA stands to benefit .
