internet poker is just ridiculous. the people who play on there, mostly russians, are just impossible to play with in the small to medium stakes. if you're in a tourney and you've been dealt kings you may as well just fold them... cos no matter how many x the BB you raise it preflop you're going to get called by some russian idiot with A-3... and guess what the flop is 99% of the time...
poker at the casino seems to attract a lot of drunken numpties which is handy... but, again, very difficult to play against if you're hoping narrow their range down to a couple of different hands... as it is just always so wide. i normally spend the first hour or so playing super tight just observing the action.. as people tend to exhibit the same behaviours over and over again in the same positions with the same hands.
