Surely one could make the argument that if the requirement for seal blubber etc is necessary, then as the temps warm and the seal population reduces that a balance is maintained.
At the end of the day, if there is no ice, then the temps are warmer, the bears are mostly living on land with a reduction in snow cover, with varying diets and seal blubber is not necessary.
