Political parties are not about what`s best for the country Dex--it`s all about what`s in it for me.Once on the gravy train u would need a crow-bar to remove them--no---accountability--,no performance reviews--one has to hand it to Clive---he worked out why should only lawyers &ex-union hacks enjoy the spoils as most of their resimay---are non productive--good on Clive getting ordinary Australian that produce as much as the others a decent pay day.Now the only question left--what`s in it for Clive--he has not borrowed 12 million for nothing.As far as achieving anything substantial in 6 yrs--what does it matter--most of never know who the Senator is---far less what they have produced in that time,except for the carbon tax,pink bats,building revolution--it`s not about what`s best---it`s about paying back those that put you there---as far as Clive and the carbon tax---well did anyone really think Clive was going to shoot himself in the foot.Over the years we have seen many disagree-crying foul,it`s terrible---in the end they all vote to keep themselves at the diner table---as far as the country`s best interest --I think it would not RANK in the top 10.Pay rises and PERKS increases are the only thing ever that both sides agree on--and tightening the belt on other`s rather than themselves.What the say and what the do are are two different scenario`s!
