When the market crashes, goldies get caught up in it. When there's an 'orderly correction' in the broader market, it causes a risk off rotation into defensive asset classes. That's what happened 12 months ago. It would be really nice if it happened again.
Mostly there's a period of correction before a crash. Just got to get out at the right time. Without getting spooked into selling up too early. Easy when you say it like that ....
