I wish you a speedy recovery.
I just had the same hernia operated on again in January. It blew out the first time because I started being too active and lifting before I should of.
You must move around carefully and often though. After my first hernia op I ended up with a DVT. That then broke away and I ended up with two clots on my lungs. I had a pulmonary embolism. Just luck I did not die. The clots were small enough so I could still breathe a little bit. Scary stuff! Ended up in compression stocking 24/7 for 6 months and self administered injections for 3!
Walk around at least once every 2 hours and hopefully you have compression stocking to wear as a precaution. I am assuming it was an inguinal hernia..
Get well and manage it sensibly.
