The absolute number to third decimal place.....well, yes..I agree.
However, the process of DD is at core of statistics or TA or FA. you, I and other in SSN or in investment do this all the time - we just dont formalise it to third decimal place but we call it DD. It is there in CoS for a drill, in Risked Evaluation, etc. Some these are retrospective and other forward looking...ALL should be taken with "grain of salt".
FIW: The statistic simply re-iterates what we all know....SSN spending > earning. Not a good situation but hopefully soon to change with current driling/production programme.
