Yeah Pete - it is disgraceful and it is unfortunately a 'sign of the times' where corporate greed is paramount to these people and respect for 'what's right' is cast aside. They DO NOT care about what we think of them - that is obvious, otherwise they would not have attempted this shameful act, not once but TWICE!!
I cannot imagine the furore that that would have occurred if these two LTIP's had of been attempted by any board of any company not that many years ago.
There is only one answer to it and that is to vote against it and hopefully the board can come to the realization that this particular group of investors is not going to take it laying down and if they want any sort of bonus/reward, then how about earning it by a reflection in the share price first !!
As you said Pete - 1.6c....... and they want bonuses !
