Hawke and Keating were certainly GIANTS within the ALP compared to the poor quality replacements they have now.
At least the LNP is currently succeeding with the boats issue, sorting out Indonesian relations, signing free trade deals and trying to get us back to an even keel with the nation's finances.
Things are nowhere near as bad for Abbott and the LNP as the ALP cheersquad members on this forum are trying to make out.
If I were them, I would be much more worried about the parlous state of their own party. They are in real, desperate trouble. They wont know just how much trouble they are in, until they lose the next election, and realise in their current form they are unelectable.
