Some time ago while searching on Trove I came across stories of a Pygmy race in Queensland, it appears they were known to inhabit areas just north of Brisbane and right along the coast as far as Cairns they were a very friendly group well known to white settlers but hated and hunted by other aboriginal tribes, there are quite a few stories in newspapers from the late 1800's to the early 1900's, I had forgotten about them until now when I came across this thread online and I am wondering if our anthropologists have ever done any serious investigation into who they were, where they came from and what happened to them and were they here first it seems they might have been.
