Lol - what utter rubbish! I can just see all those highly paid advisors and analysts at Macquarie Equities pouring over ministerial diaries and ringing their clients to advise on investments based on A meeting B. Ludicrous in the extreme! Diaries can be marginally useful - like finding out how long the Qld Premier is spending in Korea and who she is seeing there -but that is all. And we all know how useful that turned out to be!

Far far more important is research on the quality of management, skin in the game, past mistakes, market opportunities, competition, product prices and trends, social trends, changing tech, cash flow forecasting, cap raising needs etc etc.
