I think everyone was hoping that the GM deal would have put more of a rocket under the SP. Management can only do what will drive value for shareholders in the long term. How the market reacts in the short term is largely out of management's hands. When management starts prioritizing short term movements over long term success shareholders are in for a world of pain.

Some may recall comparisons made to AUZ when QPM was in its infancy. AUZ would say whatever the market wanted to hear for a short term kick. It worked for awhile. At the time AUZ had a market cap of 300m and QPM a paltry 5m and traded at that mark for seemingly an eternity. Fast forward to today. AUZ has been taken to task by the corporate regulator for comments made by the former MD and been fined heavily for it. This week QPM has gotten shareholder approval for an investment of up to $100m+ from GM, AUZ has just signed another convertible note paying the financier for the privilege of doing so.

Its one of the quirks of the stockmarket that a company can do everything right and not see any progress SP wise during the short or medium term. On the flipside we see some stupendous runs on gas filled hype. In the long run tbough they always find their level.

Not oft thought about but the best deal that management did to minimize dilution was at the start of covid where they placed 300k to a single investor, took 50% cuts, and took out a research and development refund loan against the tax refund from the pilot plant run. That was real make or break, world is coming to an end sh1t. Navigate that and the rest of this is just caviar.
