• Something welcome and often unexpected that accompanies and enhances something that is itself good.
We all get rewarded/paid for doing our jobs – its called a salary, a wage, fee for service, goodwill etc.
The notion that these directors expect bonuses/rewards/financial gain for their decisions and actions which in fact has not only resulted in the significant and consistent ( over 3 years ) precipitous but continued devaluation of this company is not only ludicrous and disheartening but more importantly - alarming.
Yet again - this has resulted in a public display of lack of trust and faith by many of the shareholders in the management of SSN and their abilities.
It's the equivalent of the Captain of the Costa Concordia applying for the Commander in Chief of the Love Boat whilst sailing the South China Sea.
These people are slow learners.
In the real world - none of us gets paid extra monies for non–productiveness, decrease in company value, repeated failure at given tasks promoted as likely, poor outcomes, poor risk assessments and decreasing shareholder /beneficiaries wealth.
…. In fact we would all probably, not only be faced with disciplinary action or demotion but more likely, lose our jobs with poor references.
After 3 years in the deep blackness of repeated failures the fortunes of SSN seem to be slowly turning around -predominately with the competence of other companies efficiencies and work performance – i.e. :
* Slawson at NSY
*The Arfa Dailey ability of Terry Barr ( reference to BBC TV series ‘Minder’ for our Yankie friends ) to sell coals to Newcastle
*The Chinese Bluff
*The Roosevelt Sale of the Century
- and *Somewhere over the Rainbow
SSN may now have a future with an actual production of oil and not just a 3D Seismic, Defender of the ‘Cooda Been Champions’ of the American Spirit of Oil.
Show me the money. Otherwise … your dreamin’
