Hi Kingpin, I didn't take it as a criticism, I just didn't want to sound like I was explicitly suggesting they build.
You are completely correct with regard to not taking advice from people who don't know your circumstances. Is it negative geared, positive geared, owner occupied? Fully owned or low equity? Looking to retire or just starting out? All of these completely change the story.
