Instos can only add if they have the mandate and ability to add. If you are an insto facing a wave of panic redemptions then you can’t avoid selling even if you think the companies you are selling are undervalued.
The best approach for a company I think is to have well informed investors who understand what you are trying to do. Investors feel much more comfortable hold a stock through times of market volatility if they understand the company and its prospects.
