Wow how refreshing to read a well-reasoned and intelligent exchange of views on Hot Copper! Loving it.

The one time I considered short term trading back when we were in the low $2s and consistently going up and down each day, I bought 10,000 extra shares thinking I would cleverly sell them the next day for a small profit. It seemed like a no-brainer. The next day came and I just couldn't do it....so I kept them. Clearly I am not meant to be a trader lol. Just did my bit today too and added a few more at market. I feel very comfortable that those extra 10,000 shares will end up being a great decision by the way (IMO).

I have made a statement not so long ago to my spouse (who asks "what's happening with Race" regularly and to whom I have been justifying my Race share purchases over the last five years), that if Race does not do what I think it's going to, then I'm happy to just work an extra 12 months from my planned retirement age to pay for all the money I've put in. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to have to do that.....as long as Race "does its thing" in the next couple of years and then it's an early retirement for us both.
