    Started property development at 29yrs, and basically worked as self employed, but organizing all the trades.

    Built one small importing business in mid 30s, then the biggest move was buying existing business then expanded, turned around, then bought another existing, did same once I knew how it all worked. Then did JV with next - bolt on.

    Have 3 now. 2 will run themselves by end of this year.

    Partner and I both take salaries up to $80k + super. then pay rest in profits.
    Try to reinvest for growth/ expansion or use cash-flow to save and buy next.

    One or 2 more to diversify (not manufacturing/ or construction based), and will be retired by 50. No need to rely on bloody pension.
    Looking at Beauty/Health, even franchise, and maybe rent roll. No food or bev.
