Probably best remembered for her live stoush with Tony Abbott on a televised conference where he rolled in half an hour late, but she was of course Health Minister under Rudd & Gillard.
But I just noticed today that she had been the chair of a major private health fund in recent years. I could be wrong, often am, but I remember her as being a strong ideological opponent of private health. Maybe she just had a change of philosophy. Pays (and pays well) to be flexible.
