It is true that there is a semblance of press freedom in Israel just as it is in Russia but that doesn't make it safe as we found out this week. Gideon Levy has 24 hour police protection and as in Russia even that might not protect him.
If as you claim if you offend a Muslim or the Prophet you will be killed why is the risk of violent death in Muslim countries one quarter of that in Israel and Australia and why do Australians keep going back again and again to the most populous Muslim country in the world if it is so hazardous.
