So of the top200 stocks on the ASX at least half of them or 100 of them have significant short positions greater than 2.32% ...Seem to me its business as usual.

The fact that the bulk of shorts were taken out on AVZ the day we entered the ASX200 (around 80c) with so much +ive FA overdue said to me this was procedural/hedging on the part of the Insto's. Those shorts are still well underwater. Anyone who had done some basic research would have realized that a rally was imminent and so it did... AVZ went to 1.36c shortly thereafter. This meaning some of those insto shorters were 56c under at that time (Perhaps some insto jobs were in jeopardy at the time). And to this day they are still underwater. Not a good look for team short is it?
