Goat herders are totally different to a side that has shaped history on their determined / resilient warfare . Have a look at the sustained fighting in Ukraine . Not much different to ww1 , where the same strategies played out . I agree the loitering ammunitions is spectacular and satellite imagery locates targets but the grit and determination shown by both sides has to be admired .
Alas , like every other war this didn`t need to happen . The dead , maimed and injured now number in the millions . Ukraine will probably not survive as a sovereign country . 50 + year old men tend not to start families . Another 2 years of war and Europe will never be the same .
USA will not escape without any bruising and unlike WW1 / WW2 they are within striking distance of the enemy . Perhaps internal factors will allow others to exploit openings left by the current administrators .
