The last thing most civilised European countries want, France in particular, is a full blown multinational war on their doorstep. They now see Russia gearing up to change to a wartime economy in order to grab back its old empire. The stakes are high. The EU and USA now have no other choice but to supply what Ukraine needs otherwise it will be their own guys that will be facing Russian meat waves.
