You're forgetting one thing. More Ukrainians are going to die as well. More Ukrainian cities and villages will be destroyed. More of Ukrainian infrastructure will be destroyed. Ukrainian economy is already non-existent and totally dependent on US-EU handouts.
All over NATO's expansionist ambitions.
This war wouldn't have started anyway if it wasn't for US meddling in Ukrainian internal affairs that resulted in an illegal coup.
