"...at what point will he, as you say, "militarily conquer" Ukraine?..." There is no objective to conquer Ukraine militarily. I would have thought that the last two years would have made it pretty obvious.
It's the same as saying that NATO has no objective for Ukraine to win against Russia on the battlefield.
