The lesson here is that when a commodity is in high demand
although illegal that the Black Market will always find a way
to do business.
This has been true in the Illicit Drug trade for almost a century
so there is little wonder that sanctioned oil sales are any different.
IMO the figures cited above are likely to underestimate this illicit
oil trade because the beneficiaries are not likely leak market
info just as they dont leak market info on illicit drugs.
Who knows, there even could be Russian sources petrol
at a bowser near you.....that's the nature of capitalism!
