IMO, no.

But back to the Ukrainian war:

By the current battlefield trend, the Ukraine is more likely than not
to cede more ground to Russia and for that reason a ceasefire /negotions
now makes more sense than later.

Of course if the US is calling the Ukraine's shots, then the longer that
this war lasts the better it is for the USA in that it weakens Russia
economically and with that Russia's ability to maintain its massive
Nuke arsenal and the means of delivering it.

We are taking about long-term Geopolitics here; not day to day battlefield tactics.

PS: The question is: Is the US spend on this war offset by the volume of business that
it has brought to the US arms manufacturing industry?

If Putin is worried about his war on Ukraine weakening Russia, he could simply just end it. Problem solved.

It is odd that you look for every other solution to Putin's failed war on Ukraine than Putin ending his war on Ukraine.

Russia has been at 18% occupation of Ukraine for years now. Your misguided focus on Ukraine should be redirected onto Putin to end his failed war.

There will be two benefits in Putin ending his failed war for you, firstly the US won't be weakening Russia in Ukraine and the US arms industry won't be making money anymore. A win win for all.
