    @ Vince,

Having worked at a very low level in Diplomatic circles in the past I recognise the language and the warnings.

    1) He has told Kiev (and thier British and American backers) to stand down.

    2) He has not defined the borders of the “new” Republics, so by default they are likely to be considered as being the full lands claimed at the time of initial seperation in 2014 – which means that Kievs army (and British and American mercenaries) are defacto “occupying with military force” an independent state.

    3) He has publically stated that the documents to formalise recognition “will soon be signed” – which means that the Ukrainian “occupying army” has until then to withdraw peacefully or risk being forced to withdraw.

    4) Ukrainian government officials have publically announced that they intend to seek a nuclear deterant – and Putin has stated that Ukraine have the ability to do this (and deliver a device) with only a little western assistance. The warning is clear – Ukraine may loose access to thier nuclear sites and power stations in the coming weeks and months if this matter is not put to bed by Kiev (they could be seized quickly by special operations teams backed by Paratroopers – all proteced by ground attack and fighter aircraft).

    5) Should Ukraine (and the British and Americans) contest the declaration of independence and the new status of a Russian protectorate by use of force, then all military assets – not just front line of contact assets, but logistical and communications, C&C etc – will become legitamate targets by thier own hand (ie “on your head / conscience will you face the consequences”).

    6) Due to security concerns it is likely that a DMZ or at least a no fly zone will be imposed (and enforced) east of the Dniper river (which would also cover that big nuclear power station in the south east.

    7) The port of Odessa will at the very least be closed to NATO warships and also foreign military personnel (or as Putin said “trainers and advisors” from NATO members). More likely is that Ukraines entire access to the Black Sea will be suspended pending full NATO withdrawl from the Black Sea.

    8) The west have shown themselves to liers and cheats with no honor – therefore no further negotiations will entered into and Russia will take any and all actions to protects her security and borders. This is a clear warning that if a big fight is sought then a big fight will be given.

    9) Russia will seek the arrest and prosecution / hand over of all War Criminals, the details of whom have / will be provided.

    10) No further provocations, talk of agression, or persecution of anyone or anything Russian will be tolerated at least in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.

    11) In a nutshell, Ukraine and the West have until Putin “signs the papers” to stand down and withdraw or be made to withdraw, but between now and then if Ukraine acts against Donbass or Russia then Russia reserves the right of self-defence and the right to protect the peoples of Donbass (note that the signing of the papers can be done as quickly or as slowly as Putin chooses, but its likely that Ukraine has around 72 hours to completely withdraw peacefully if they choose to do so).

On a side note, the British and Americans will not tolerate this and will seek to send warships into Odessa / outside the city (thereby preventing closeure by Russia and keeping air and missile threat open) and air-drops of arms and munitions to Ukraine and thier mecenaries, whilst blocking any withdrawl of Ukrainian forces from the line-of-contact in an attempt to fix the Donbass borders at their present location.

The next 72 hours are crucial.
