You honestly think any democratic leader would attack Russia who has a lot of nuclear weapon then you have rock in your head, their political career would be finished. Ukraine wanted to join the EU and NATO and Putin didn't wanted this to happen as he always wanted their land, it's as simple as that. Putin isn't afraid of the West as he has a lot of nuclear weapon and has threaten the West he would use them, does that sound like someone who is afraid.....
