I wasn't being critical or downplaying....as much as you apparently wish I was....I was simply pointing out a few thoughts/suggestions/facts which you probably prefer not to consider ? I think the human wave thing which has been reported widely by a variety of sources is probably a factor if you're talking about losses isn't it ? Did you not hear what Prigozhin and others said/have said ? There seems little doubt Russian firepower and manpower supremacy is a factor more recently but I also think you're downplaying Russian losses in the first 18 months or so of Putin's War when they were pushed back to the significant extent they were. Ebbs and flows and largely a filthy stalemate still to this point it seems...must be one of the longer so called 'SMO's' ?....I'm sure Putin (and his loyal supporters) fully anticipated in February 2022 he'd be in the position he is and taken the horrendous losses he's suffered ....
