You say "Yanukovych's poor decisions" led to the Maidan and I fully agree.

However prior to the Maidan Yanukovych managed to avoid war
which IMO was the sensible thing to do given the outcome caused
    by his debunking:
    -The loss of the Crimea
-Civil war in Donbas supported by Russia
    -10s of thousands killed 2014-2022
-the invasion by Russia causing 6 million Ukrainian refugees, 100s of thousands dead
4 imis that injured/maimed , the loss of 18% of the country and a wrecked country/economy
    . existing on foreign welfare.

If you think that the sacrifice (wittingly or unwittingly) mad by the Ukrainian peoples
post the Maidan is worth the current position of the Ukraine and possibly its prospects
in the foreseeable future, then all I have to say is that when it comes the preservation
of human life, you have an attitude that any NAZI would be proud of.

This war, like those of Vietnam, Iraq, Agfghanisan etc will be judged on outcomes, not motives, IMO.
and so far the outcome has been tragically bleak from a Ukrainian perspective.

The sacrifice made by the Ukrainian peoples to date has simply been too much
like the tragedy like the aftermath of wars mentioned above.

War/more war is not the answer...its the problem.
