You're only right in theory. In reality people need to eat, and they want to travel etc ... the powers that be want to usher / herd everyone into digital currency eventually, and they want to track every transaction globally. You can't eat your gold and silver and you can't buy your travel tickets with them. If only you know that anti money laundering laws require people who sell bullion to record and track every customer / transaction. The powerful international banking cartel have been able to suppress the price of gold and silver via gold and silver futures, and they'll continue to be able to do so.
