Dollarbill I don't know where you get the idea that its a safe haven currency - I have never heard or read anyone say that it is. Its a commodity-based currency and tends to do well when our commodities are doing well and vice versa. The other main factor of course also is interest rates and atm ours are lower than the US.
The AUDUSD has been trending down since January when it peaked at 70c, its now 65c. I like many people would expect it to head lower still for the reason you've suggested plus the prospect of a further rate cut.
