Pear, you need to check what the Scriptures really teach. The Canaanite's although living a debauched life that left archeologists wondering why God waited so long before stepping in, had their opportunity to repent and change. Rahab was one example as were the Gibeonites.
Today we have a society that is similar. I have seen estimates of 42,000,000 abortions being performed in a single year. Add to the women responsible, the men that go along with it, the surgeons and nurses that participate and the other staff that look away, the legal system that approves, the various religious organisations that tolerate it and it is no wonder some question whether God sees what's happening.
Some others know that not only does God see, He foretold it would get that way.
(2 Timothy 3:1-5) But know this, that
in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.
