We're all ears, jopo. Other than via CO2 release, by what mechanism could sea floor volcanoes possibly be having an appreciable effect on climate? Can't be via aerosols, or ozone - they're under a few miles of water, so essentially none of that will escape into the air. Sulfates and nitrates simply dissolve, while ozone is quickly broken down by reaction with dissolved organic carbon. Can't be via heat - I posted that calculation a while back. Even if volcanic activity increased a thousand fold, it would still be contributing just a few milliwatts per square metre. So... what? Seriously, if you're going to accuse an entire scientific community of indulging in flights of fantasy over CO2, one would hope you have something stronger than, "maybe the volcanoes dunnit... somehow."
