Agree with you John.

From my point of view Gold and gold equities are in the very early stages of a massive upward move.

From my point of view this looks like a replay of the mid 1970's.

So stocks such as KCN and EVR .... the mid to larger sized ones have the potential for a massive run ... looking from a long term perspective.

I've posted along these lines before ... a bit of a one trick pony .... but if bullion replicates the run from 1976 to 1980 it could well go up by a multiple of 6 to 8 ... so $7000 to $8000 is possible.

Substancial gold stocks with good reserves will move much more.

In the early 1970's gold ran from $38 to $200+ and equities ran with them ... it then corrected to around $100 (1976) and very similar to today, mining companies cost of production had ran out of control and it was mayhem in the gold equities market.

From memory the Mt Charlotte mine operated by GMK was the only operating mine left in Aust around 1976 ... all the rest were on care and maintainence basis.
GMK had fallen from $3.50 to $0.15 by 1976 .... it went on to rise to $66 in 1987.

I'm no fortune teller ... and mistimed the market shockingly 12 months ago, but such is life.

Anyway my 20 cents worth .... so long as the companies can hang in there .... no more NMG's or RED etc.

I was a young fella in the 1970's .... now a old bloke and maybe I cant wait for the 10 year run in gold equities, but I certainly hope some can.

People can set themselves up for life with such moves if their patient .... assuming of course such a move happens.
We will only know that with the advantage of hindsight.
