do you think that all those stocks with their graphite projects, who until a couple of months ago were nothing.
Why?
Graphite has been around for years, and by the time they actually get their production on line ?? the price of the stuff will have dropped.
Then someone decided to take a run on SYR neighbor TON, and then anything was fair game.
did that mean they had offtakes, and a project ready to capitalize on the price of graphite tomorrow? or is it a bit more complicated than that - all the usual approvals, and fully costed etc.
SYR can flood the market. First mover advantage. Not to mention an Graphite companies not listed on the asx, or listed at all. Private companies exploiting the stuff.
This is what happens when something is HOT. That doesnt mean it will ever get to production and justify its market cap. The smart money got in early and is at the very latest dumping today.
The dumb money believed the hype, the excitement and payed top prices, just to be invited to the dance.
Only a real offtake agreement, and a short timeline to production to beat the rest of the wannabees would be worth a second look.
