Looks like your in a bit of a bind,
So you have around 50 acres, lifestyle block,
I'm guessing this is were some negotiationing power comes in,
Barg is right about farming properties, not every man and his dog is after one, and with the banks changing rules and regs new rural property buyers have to stump up 50% deposit, no if or buts,
I sold one of my rental properties a few weeks ago, the bank revalued my farm at 40% more than I paid for it, so I'm pretty bloody happy, as barg will tell you the banks actually undervalue your property from the real vale, it's just so the banks can cover their ass in the event something happens to us,
In my opinion, you may have to roll over on this one and give a little and get your property sold and the money in your bank account and walk away,
I forgot to ask if you owned it outright, if you do then you don't have the pressure of making repayments,
I know a couple of hobby farmers who are caught between a rock and a hard place, they have around 300 acres, they have lost the will to farm and just lease it out to the guy next door, they aren't
Interested in making the farm work e.g. sheep, cropping alpacas, etc,
So they applied for centerlink and were told to to piss off, centerlink told them to farm the farm or sell the farm to someone who will,
One of them has been on the market for sale for the last 3 years,
Basically, in my opinion I think they are bloody lazy, and they just want a free ride, I didn't say that to them of course but I wanted to,
It's a tough one mate, looks like a bit of negotiations to get this over the line for you,
