Market cap is the key number to look at. It is what the company is valued at...
I always laugh when I talk to people about shares and they ask... What is the SP???
Wow- one cent is cheap....
I say the SP is irrelevant on its own... You need to see how many shares have been issued and look at the Market Cap...
Outstanding options are also something to consider...
