Inclusion in ASX200 is good as more eyes on a company with excellent prospects (it does have the price sensitive tag). For a company with inflated share price and weak fundamentals, well its bad news. I did some back study over 3 years of stocks included in Sept to ASX200. From announcement, to end of 2 weeks, maximum price change was 18.8% positive and 9.6% negative. In terms of average change to price it was -1.6%. This tells me the the funds operate differently than jump and buy in market, and have their ways to get hold of shares without much change to price prior to that. The fact that we are in the bottom of ASX200 also means funds really don't need to allocate much to NEU (around 0.5%) however, true value will be reflected regardless and patience in a company like this, with less liquidity, is very much required.
