The virus is closing all business,excluding wow and coles etc. The cost is massive and clearly capable of developing into a depression. So corona ,as i understand it infects 80% with mild conditions ie u could have it and not know it,20 % require hospitalization (not necessarily ICU) and clearly sadly 1 to 2 % of the apparently elderly or those with heath conditions die.(maybe less if they had access to respirators ?). So Rather than close economies/businesses down which will result in the obvious serious effects including depression both mental and economic as all income including govt is reduced/abolished. Why not convert cruise ships,empty hotels into ICU facilities as required and mass produce respirators as required. Has anyone done the maths ie closing down economies globally compared to govts spending money on above facilities,in other words i would expect it to cost far less to look after the vulnerable 20% than to destroy 100% of the economy.
