JUST FOR FUN: If for a moment you imagine yourself as involved in criminal activities or a clandestine organisation, it's not hard to imagine how a takedown like this could be arranged. Go short, take the money, dose the water/food, pay off the right people, get the samples, stop the dosing, release the results, shut the mine, allow time for toxins to clear, resample, get good results, mine is implicated and loses licence to operate, company pays compensation, mine is taken by state and sold to new owner at firesale price, mine reopens, locals reemployed, everybody wins....... except shareholders. That almost sounds like a graduate training assignment for new recruit in the CIA or some other clandestine organisation.......and the organisation gets additional funding from it's short postion. Easy peasy.
