Cost squeeze is so common in the US. I have a number of Medical stocks with FDA approval for products, dealing with the huge health care groups is a cost cutting nightmare. It's not until the health insurers list the product under their umbrella that this pressure subsides, But there are many health insurers dealing with many states. Over there each state can be a different kettle of fish as well.
For some reason many people believe that FDA approval leads to a gravy chain of income. This is not the case. In the medical game in the US the health insurers run the whole shebang.
So in the OEM aviation industry in the US who runs the whole shebang.
